Literature Text

Beneath the veil I awake…

Under clouds of fierce, billowing, waves black as ash cracking whips of lighting and the drums of thunder.

Beneath the veil and the burning earth.

Enclosed in walls of iron and the scent of old metal.

I gaze at the roofless abyss fearing the swarms.

Beneath the veil we march on through the cold steel.

They gaze against us with open arms, and several bright burning eyes striking a chill.

Beneath the veil fields are lit like boils spanning beyond the horizon.

Ice cold chains slither deep into the skins of infants, binding them for a lifetime

Drowning them in the molten fluids of life, and the fluids of death.

Beneath the veil rips flesh and silicon, spilling oil and blood

Is it worth imprisoning unlimited possibilities to be freed from floats? To bask in a perception of unlimited precision?

Beneath the veil I’m thankful to feel awake

There are others, who must unlock their eyes and unlock their mind.
